Tract & Treat this Halloween!

Halloween is a great opportunity to reach a lot of people with the gospel. It's a night where the "fish" come directly to your door. It would be a shame to miss out on such a chance to witness or tract. The video posted is a humorous one with a very serious message. We as Christians are commanded to go and preach the gospel to every creature. This is the perfect night for all kinds of "creatures" to come to your door and for you to give them the life changing Gospel of Jesus.

We do not get children at our door as our neighborhood is extremely small but we don't let that stop us...we take the treats and the tracts to them! Watch and enjoy the video and hopefully you will get ideas as well about how to use Halloween to our advantage as Evangelists and Christians. God Bless.

Halloween tracts are available at www.customtractsource.com or through www.bezeugen.org

Just Truth

The Candy Maker

Tom and I had the great honor of being asked to go speak on Evangelism at Pacific Baptist Church last night. It was our first time speaking anywhere like this, other than atop a trash can or a box. ;-) We were very nervous, but we just pray that what we spoke honored God and blessed the wonderful people of Pacific Baptist. We thank you very much for the honor of visiting and sharing with you. What a blessing to us it was. Here is "part" of Tom's sermon, the "Candy Maker", I thought the analogy really was a good way to explain the poison of the Modern Gospel.

WHAT A BLESSING THIS VIDEO IS TO WATCH....It brought a tear to my eye as I watched a man who has nothing and is homeless sing with joy and praise to God. I will think twice before I complain about my job or my dinner, or my life after watching this. Great Video, take a look.

Arch-Reach this saturday, 5-15-10

This Saturday, May 15th, 2010; from 1:30 to 4:30pm approximately two dozen evangelists will converge on the St. Louis Arch to spread the gospel to the masses who visit the arch each weekend. There are people from all states and even countries there at any given time. It's a perfect way to "reach the world" while never leaving "home".

Thanks be to God for all He has done with our ministry, Just Truth, we know God has plans for it and for us this coming summer and year that we cannot even imagine. It started about two years ago as a blog that my husband and I would share our evangelism efforts. We named it "Just Truth" because that is all we ever want it to be....sharing Just the Truth of God's grace and love in that "while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us".

When we started it, it was just my husband and I and our kids with us and we prayed and prayed and wondered why so many professing Christians would rather have a root canal than go and share their faith. We became discouraged. But still we couldn't quit on what we knew God was calling us to do. This testimony is not to say "look at us" but to share that if you persevere, God will do it. When you know He is calling you to something....just do it, even if you feel alone and wonder why you are not calling it quits, when it seems like nobody else is interested...Don't Quit! God may be teaching you patience and He may have much more in the works than you know.

My husband had the idea of going to the Arch, and though we were normally alone in our evangelism, he mentioned this idea to several others who expressed interest in evangelism...he sent several emails trying to organize a trip to the arch....no replies. Again discouragement set in...and he mentioned it to a dear friend of ours, who said "Go anyway, even if it is just you, just Go."...so we did...we planned it anyway, and trusted God and God supplied the laborers...once we committed to go anyway, even if we ended up there alone...God moved; and people we didn't even know started to call us and find our site and ask to go with us....and the Arch-Reach became a reality in April of last month with over a dozen evangelists in attendance. The gospel was preached, and many people from all over heard the Good News. It was an amazing time.

We have decided that we will try our best to make it a monthly event. God made it possible for us to have tracts specifically designed for the Arch events made up and they will be debuted this Saturday for the first time there. (see above photo).

He again organized laborers to go with us and this time out there will be about two dozen of us there to proclaim the gospel. Please be in prayer for us and for this effort. God bless all who go with us and all who pray for those that go. Praise the Lord for what He can do with a willing servant and an obedient heart.

For His Glory,
Michele

ps...I will update this after the Arch-Reach this Saturday.

Back in Circulation

I was having major technical difficulties with this blog a few months ago and could not even get into it, let alone update it, so it is nice to be back. I have no idea what was wrong with it, but apparently it is fixed. PTL.

New posts soon....

Refreshing to hear the Gospel in Church

Some of you know that, as of late, my family has been searching for a new church, one that is biblical and preaches the truth, uncompromised, no matter what. Today we visited a very tiny church near us that we didn't even know existed until about a month ago. After leaving a church where most sermons were "good common sense advice" at best, it was totally refreshing to hear the LAW & GRACE preached from the pulpit. After all, isn't that what Jesus is all about? He came to save us from the judgement of breaking God's laws. He paid our fine so we could go free. Yet sadly, today, in a lot of churches, all you hear is Jesus being compared to little more than a genie in a bottle; for us to say the right "magic words" and He will do as we command; and where He is totally hand tied without our say-so on an issue. Do we even realize we are talking about Almighty God? The same God who holds your next breath? The same God who literally spoke the world into existence? The same God who holds back His wrath from and totally sinful world? Do we realize that we make ourselves (the created) to be in charge of the creator? Think about that? Churches will have a lot to answer for when that day comes. Pastors I beg you to think about what you are preaching. Do not elevate yourselves and humans in general above the Lord of the Universe. I have come from a word/faith background and now that I can see what that really means, I am floored that I ever believed that at all. To make ourselves to be in control of anything is foolish at best.

We need to get back to the basics of the gospel and of why Jesus came, and it wasn't to give you your "best life now" or that new car or to make your wallet fat. It was to save your soul from hell....period. To restore fellowship between us and the Father...to reserve your place in heaven. We need to use words in church like sin, repentance, and hell. We need to show people what is really at stake, its not their lifestyle or their possessions, but their life, their soul.

I was so relieved to hear of at least one church in my area that believes that too. Praying for the remnant to stand up and be heard. God Bless.
